Does the mud come up through the holes?
Mud can come up through the holes, when first installed. But once the grids have found their level, they stay on top of the mud.
Can I use a tractor on them?

Is there a minimum I have to buy?
No, you can order as many or as few grids as you’d like. You can always add onto them over time.
Do you need to prep the surface before installing?
No, you do not need to prep the surface. If you are installing in thick mud, we suggest you scrape back some of the mud with either a tractor bucket or even the back of a metal rake. You then can throw your grid down in the mud and begin to start installing them. Keep in mind, if you are installing in deep mud, mud will come up through the grid, but once it is completely laid and settled you scrape the mud off and no more mud should come through as the grid has then settled into its place.
Are they slippery?
No, the grids are made with 100% Recycle material and have a nice textured surface on them to avoid slippage. If you are concerned about your animal slipping, you can top with sand.
How don't they just sink in the mud?
Think of the Mud Grid as a snow shoe. When you’re walking through the snow, the snow shoe helps keep you above the snow. This is very similar with mud grids, the more surface area you lay with grids, the more the weight can get distributed throughout the grid, causing very minimal movement with the grid as it “floats” on top of the surface. The more grids you have, the more weight that it will distribute evenly across.
What are they made out of?
The grids are made out of 100% Recycled Plastic!
Do they have a warranty on them?
Yes, they have a 20 year manufacture warranty. If you have an issue with the grid, please contact us.
Can horses that are shod be on them?
Yes, horses that are shod can be on them. We recommend topping them with sand to add more traction for them.
